I've spent the last 20 years in the financial services industry working at a senior level in brokers, insurers and reinsurers with companies such as AIG Life, Pacific Life Re, Ageas and Hastings Direct.
Historically from an Operations background I have a hands-on appreciation of what it takes for a business to successfully operate and the challenges that often try and get in the way. One of my favourite sayings is that across my career I have probably made every single mistake its possible to make – but I never make the same mistake twice, resulting in a well rounded and highly experienced leader!
I have experience of successfully operating in Private Equity, large corporates and stand alone organisations and have a proven track record of leading change through mergers, acquisitions and business disposals.
Throughout my career however one main theme has remained consistent and that is my ability to identify talented individuals, the building of those individuals into a team and the leading of the teams to achieve extraordinary results.
